Our charitable education programmes are focused on the most impoverished communities where children are deprived of their right to education due to ongoing conflicts, gender discrimination or poverty.
What is United Muslims Education Programme
Our education programme focuses on one simple goal – empowering young minds. We work in different parts of the world, in many cultures and situations, but our aim is always the same: to give young minds modern education and practical skills. We turn empty buildings into schools and help existing schools become modern institutions. Taking one child at a time, we use different strategies to make education possible for all children. Here is how we are offering learning opportunities to children around the world:
- We work with orphanages and rescue centres, providing them with the facilities they need to deliver quality education.
- We support schools in far-flung areas by installing labs to improve learning standards.
- We provide IT infrastructure to institutions so they can teach computer and digital skills to students.
- We employ technical teachers to run seminars, workshops, and short courses in underprivileged areas, inspiring children to pursue careers in technical fields.
- We collaborate with teachers to give scholarships to for bright students who cannot continue their education due to financial barriers.
- We offer vocational training in hard-to-reach areas so that young women and men can learn essential skills to earn a living.
- We work with madrassas to distribute Qur’ans and Islamic books to children.
Why support our education charity program
Education can be the only way out of poverty in some of the underprivileged communities around the world, but it is not available to everyone. Around 250 million children globally lack basic literacy skills. Most of these children never go to school or cannot complete their education, with girls suffering the most. Education should not be a privilege, only accessible to few.
At United Muslims, we aim to make education accessible to as many children as possible and keep going with the support of our donors. As Muslims, we strongly believe in the transformative power of education and how it can uplift Muslim Ummah as a whole.
